Philanthropy Officer, Greensboro, NC

Summary

Youth Focus serves the most vulnerable youth in the Guilford County and surrounding areas (ages 11-24) who are not just experiencing homelessness or in crisis, but many who've aged out of public systems such as foster care, juvenile justice, and children's mental health. Youth Focus aims to empower these young adults to find viable, long-term paths to success through our coordinated array of services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Fundraising, Communication, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred. 2+ years of related experience required. Proficiency in MS Office applications and the Internet. Raiser’s Edge experience is highly preferred.

Position Requirements

Youth Focus is seeking a Philanthropy Officer to help ensure Youth Focus has the needed financial and volunteer resources to meet the fundraising goals outlined in the annual fund development plan, utilizing the Benevon model of fundraising. This person will cultivate and steward donors and will deepen donor relationships to move annual donors to multi-year donors. The Philanthropy Officer will be a member of the Alexander Children’s Foundation team and will report directly to Youth Focus’ Executive Director. This position is responsible for all annual strategies supporting Youth Focus’ development plan, such as annual direct mail initiatives, year-end appeals, etc. Additionally, this person will provide leadership in promoting and organizing volunteer opportunities and gift-in-kind donations for Youth Focus and engaging the community in agency tours. The Philanthropy Officer will be an advocate and spokesperson for Youth Focus communicating the organization's mission, services, and the impact our services have on the youth and young adults in our community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,440.00 - $50,000.00 per year
