QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: Doctor of allopathic or osteopathic
medicine. Licensed to practice medicine in New York State. Board Certified in family medicine or
internal medicine. Added qualifications and/or board certification in geriatrics or hospice and palliative
medicine desirable.

move) 10-30 pounds. Most frequently 10-15 pounds. Occasional walking, stooping, squatting and
bending. Repetitive hand/wrist movement. Must function independently and be flexible. Subject to
frequent interruptions. Physical work intensity level 2.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in well-lighted, ventilated office, as well as throughout the facility.
ADVERSE WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to infections, disease and disagreeable
odors. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents and family members.
VARIABLES: Regularly willing to work beyond normal working hours.

- Provides medical care that meets standards of practice, the needs of residents and families,
- Appropriately bill for professional services rendered.
- Collaborates with facility advanced practice staff (NP,PA).
- Skilled in use of electronic medical record.
- Participates in the on call coverage system as assigned.
- Participates in prevention and monitoring of infectious disease in the facility.
- Participates in the education and performance improvement of facility staff.
- Assists in the development of policies and procedures for the Jewish Home at large, as assigned.
- Demonstrate personal active learning and continued education.
- Represent the Jewish Home in the community and on the state and national level.
- Maintain licensure, board certifications and medical privileges at Jewish Senior Life.
- Other job duties as assigned.
