Job Summary:

The Packaging/Finished Goods Material Handler is responsible for the timely movement of all materials within a designated location. This position is also responsible for tracking movement of materials within the computerized systems to ensure proper inventory availability.. This position is for D Shift (Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday) from 7:00pm-7:00am. The starting rate of pay for this position is $21.07 per hour plus an additional $4 night shift premium.

Hiring Bonus Terms:

• Hiring Bonus is for $1,000 dollars
• Employees must be employed at the time of payout
• Hiring bonus is paid out in two separate installments; $500 at 90 days and $500 at 180 days for a total of $1000.00 dollars.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to move raw materials, packaging, finished product and other materials from one location to another.
• Use a computer and company systems to track all material movement transactions, both incoming and outgoing.
• Observe all GMP, Food Safety, and Employee Safety requirements.
• Load 53 foot trailers with a lift truck
• Shipping and receiving of products and materials
• Log incoming material and outgoing pallets into computer system
• Recognize shortages of materials in the system and order materials for next shift
• Follow detailed processes for assigned work to ensure proper completion.
• Staging and preparation of raw materials for use in operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work 12 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to get on and off of a forklift in a safe manner multiple times per shift

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to understand both written and verbal instructions in English.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience forklift/material handling experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
• Must be able to measure and understand tare weight.
• Strong attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude
• Computer skills
• Basic Math skills
• Competency with weights and measures
