We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Plant Operations Lead for our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, EOR asset.



This position will be located in our Salt Creek office. The primary responsibility is to manage assigned Plants and maintenance projects.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with all company and governmental rules and regulations
2. Assist Operation Team Leader in submitting annual operating budgets and overall work schedule administration
3. Build a highly skilled and action oriented Team through strong mentoring and development
4. Train and mentor staff to ensure operational excellence including effective process surveillance
5. Develop standard operating procedures to ensure equipment reliability
6. Create and monitor metrics to support process reliability to include downtime and production losses
7. Manage contractor relationships to improve communication
8. Facilitate well reviews with production and reservoir groups to help improve production
9. Instruct the workforce in condition monitoring of production equipment and lead with the implementation of an effective PM program such that the equipment run life is optimized
10. Ensure data acquisition and accurate reports
11. Conduct safety audits with HES
12. Control daily spending, and look for ways to maximize production and cut cost
13. Track employee time and ensure coverage while employees are on vacation


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED

Professional/Technical Knowledge:

Professional/Technical Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Plants


Skills & Competencies:
  • Demonstrates and promotes HES and regulatory awareness and compliance
  • Strong business background and in-depth understanding of key financial measures
  • Demonstrated ability to align Business Unit strategy with Corporate strategies and goals
  • Demonstrated ability to build/maintain team cohesiveness, effectively motivate, coach and mentor team members
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other teams or departments; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated initiative to assist other teams and team leaders in better utilizing best practices, resources and alliances across the Company
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong, proven and analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
