General purpose of the job

The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for batching concrete and maintaining the mechanical operational performance of a single Ready Mix concrete plant. This position is an entry level supervisory role.

Individual accountabilities

  • Maintains highest standard of safety practices to ensure a safe working environment for internal and external personnel
  • Provides accurate reports and analysis data to achieve key performance indicators
  • Ability to identify an diagnose system malfunctions and collaborates with the Maintenance Department on problem resolution
  • Directs, motivates and coaches activities of others to ensure success and team efforts
  • Manages staff with respect, dignity and awareness of team and individual needs
  • Holds operations meetings with team members that support corporate and local business goals
  • Ensures that the batching facilities maintain inventory levels to support production requirements

Education

High school

Technical knowledge and certifications

  • Training: Production of Ready Mix Concrete
  • Technical knowledge and certifications: MS Office
