Position Summary:

As an employee of the Bank, supports company culture and mission statement to Have a Positive Impact on Peoples Lives. Develops and maintains business relationships with existing commercial borrowers and deposit customers. Services a wide variety of businesses and individuals loans. Assist the Commercial Loan Officers with financial analysis, annual reviews and others duties as required.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Services commercial customers loan needs

  • Calls on existing or potential customers with commercial lenders to develop new business and to retain or increase existing business.
  • Works to develop and close leads given by Commercial Loan Officers or Management.
  • Cross-sells and refers a full range of banking services to present and potential customers.
  • Meets with customers to discuss needs and recommends ways the bank can serve their needs.
  • Negotiates terms, loan structure and pricing within bank provided parameters.
  • Supports and assists in the implementation of all bank marketing and sales strategies designed to maximize growth and profitability.
  • Maintains positive relationships with bank staff and works with management to help facilitate a total team concept.

2. Works closely with the Credit Department to assist the Commercial Loan Officers with financial analysis, annual reviews and others duties as required.

  • Underwrites loans acceptable to loan policy guidelines.
  • Prepares the loan presentation for the Commercial Loan Officers.
  • Attends Loan Committee meetings as required.
  • Works to collect documentation necessary for loan reviews and renewals.
  • Assists with processing and servicing of SBA and other government guaranteed loans.

3. Promotes business development

  • Keeps informed on changes within our market, recommending market opportunities for growth and development.
  • Builds center of influence network by actively participating in community based organizations.
  • Informs supervisor of significant loan opportunities.
  • Makes joint customer calls with Commercial Loan Officer on a regular basis.

4. Works in conjunction with Commercial Loan Officers to maintain collections and charge off accounts

  • Reviews delinquent reports and/or files to determine plan of action.
  • Executes plan of action-phone, letters with goal being to determine problem and resolve.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Bachelor degree required. Minimum of three to five years credit experience required. Advanced training, knowledge and experience in commercial lending, strong time management, sales, business development, computer and analyzing financial statements required. Must be self-motivated, sales oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
