Scope:

Reporting to the General Manager of the Fleet Card division, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for pricing, margin management, site setups and dealer settlement. The following outlines specific responsibilities and deliverables. Other duties may be added, as necessary.


Significant Activities & Deliverables:

Fleet Card Pricing implementation

  • Perform weekly Pricing Execution Process meetings with each Fuel Management Consultant to optimize pricing setups for each customer / customer segment

  • Explain pricing and customer setups in a manner which makes sense to the Fuel Management Consultant, optimizing pricing for both Christensen and the customer, while understanding and effectively communicating the real impact of those decisions

  • Consults with Fuel Management Consultant for new customer pricing and margin setups through the Customer Onboarding process.

  • Work in conjunction with the accounting team to ensure all pricing files are uploaded each morning in a timely manner

  • Work with the accounting and operations teams to ensure site setup errors are cleared quickly


Gross Profit Growth

  • Responsible for accomplishing gross profit targets through Fleet Card margin management

  • Responsible for coordinating and implementing the Pricing Execution Process with the fleet card sales teams to accomplish monthly gross profit targets

  • Assists sales team by providing competitive price data for Fleet card


Pricing Analysis

  • Performs daily analysis of fuel market and daily rack-to-retail margins to understand customer dynamics, and adjust margins balanced to optimize both margins and customer experience, according to customer dynamics throughout entire marketing geography

  • Responsible for analyzing customer setups through the Pricing Execution Process with the Fleet Card sales teams to accomplish monthly gross profit targets

  • In partnership with product management & sales teams, gather competitive intelligence and develop historical database to identify trends to improve decision making

  • Be a self-starter and student of the business, actively use the tools available to make recommendations for new tools to dive deeper into areas providing further benefit to the division for cost savings, margin management, customer and site setup, and geographical pricing file concerns

  • Run the various tools provided by Power Up Fleet and the internal technology and finance teams to ensure items such as negative margins are being handled and corrected


Dealer / Settlement Management

  • Responsible for working with accounting team to deliver timely settlements to dealers

  • Responsible for analyzing potential issues occurring within the settlement process and perform reconciliations with the dealers as needed, helping to instruct and guide the dealers in how best to use the data we provide to help them manage that portion of their business

  • Responsible for coordinating with Retail Fuels team to ensure margin and freight setups are accurate for dealers receiving loads / pricing from that team, as well as running Fleet Card transactions through the Christensen Fleet Card division


Contract Compliance

  • Responsible for keeping and maintaining contracts for new fleet card – cardlock and dealer locations

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Business and/or at least 5 years industry experience; professional degree preferred
