PRN/On-Call Food Services Technician [Position # 927]

DLC 's kitchen is at the center of our ability to provide transformative care for our Clients, and we have an outstanding learning opportunity for someone who wants to gain skills, grow with an organization and interact with a diverse group of colleagues.

This is an introductory role with no strict requirements on previous food service experience - if you have a strong work ethic and an even stronger commitment to serving the community - we invite you to fill out an Application based on the following specifics!

POSITION DETAILS:

***Candidates must be able to multi-task and demonstrate reliability***

***Candidates MUST be able to work weekends when needed***

• Daily meal preparation for Staff Members, New-Hires and Visitors

(Washing, chopping, assemble, heating, portioning, etc.)

• Additional preparation for special events such as catered functions and Staff parties.
• Unloading deliveries and ensuring freshness of goods when received and when in storage.
• Strict adherence to hygienic standards (both DLC and external regulatory agencies).
• Maintaining a pristine level of cleanliness in kitchen, pantry, freezer, storage and service areas.
• Staying in accordance with OSHA, Health Department and DLC Safety/Operational procedures.
• Proper execution of trash and recycling management.

TO BECOME A PRN FOOD SERVICE TECHNICIAN:

• High School Diploma/GED = Preferred
  
• 1-year Food Service = Preferred NOT Required
  
• Pleasant yet efficient phone demeanor for taking orders = Required
  
• Physical capability to lift (50 lbs.), push, carry and stock = Required
  
• Ability to remaining alert, attentive and productive at all times = Required
  
• Willingness to undergo and pass a full Background & Drug Screen = Required
  
• Dedication to training, skill-building and learning new processes = Required
  
• Comfort level rolling with the punches in a often hectic atmosphere = Required

LOGISTICS

• PRN/On-Call Position

~ Shifts offered/extended for weekdays and weekends, hours of 7AM to 6PM possible, holidays included
