About the Operational Excellence Team

The Operational Excellence team is shaping the strategic transformation agenda, manages its execution, focused on delivering 'fit for purpose' and effective operational models and driving the continuous improvements of our systems, processes, and information model. The Standard team has been established to bring simplicity and efficiency to our clients, intermediaries and colleagues. We believe by creating standard products, we can meet clients' and intermediaries' needs better, while at the same time operate at a low expense ratio. Customers will experience products and a customer journey that is consistent, easier to understand and reliable.

About the role

As the Process Excellence Lead-Standard Business, you will be the operational representative in the region, responsible for designing, running and improving a simple and intuitive customer journey for our standard commercial insurance product. In an incubator format you will collaborate with your colleagues from Innovation & Transformation, IT and the Products functions to define the operational model and ensure processes are running, integrated and efficiently designed around the customer. You will strive for operational excellence through continuous improvements to keep the operational model cutting edge and customer centric.

In this role you will collaborate with multiple groups and be at the fore front of the tech developments in CorSo including:

  • Defining and analysing customer journeys, applying continuous improvements to that journey

  • Build the global operational model towards a target expense ratio target

  • Drive roll-out of operational model to additional states and countries and adjust model to local regulatory requirements

  • Ensuring the operational model is lean enough to continue to meet the expense targets even when rolling out in multiple countries

  • Identify improvement areas in the E2E process and driving cross-functional teams to create the impact of these improvements

  • Ensuring processes and our tools deliver most customer value and are cost efficient using lean/six sigma and at the same time ensure operational compliance with local regulations

  • Provide transparency on progress by actively communicating with all involved partners across regions

  • Ensure process adherence by planning and executing on reinforcement activities

  • Work closely with the Business Architect & Product Owner to ensure that customer journeys and internal processes are embedded in technology solutions

  • Work with the Process Excellence community to ensure the operating model for Standard Business leverages and aligns to other operational models, share best practices and solve common challenges

  • Ensure operational readiness of our processes and support troubleshooting if needed

About you

Are you a self-starter, motivated, energetic and enthusiastic about processes? You can bring processes to life and are keen on making an impact on a global level. You have prior experience in transformation and shown ability to re-imagine processes? Then we are looking for you!

We believe in team work and are looking for someone who integrates well as you will be collaborating with a broad network of experts. You'll actively exchange knowledge and together work towards the ultimate goal of optimized, fit for purpose and standardized processes. You can encounter new problems with a confidence that you can overcome them and use your ideas and that of the team to do so.

You are passionate to explore new ways and challenge the status quo by continually seeking improvement opportunities and can translate ideas into clear priorities as well as an easy to understand story line. You can think in solutions, have a pragmatic implementation approach and hands-on problem solving.

You communicate clearly and simply – even when dealing with complicated problems and ideas – both in writing and orally. You are comfortable to deal with stakeholders at all levels in the organization, you are empathetic and can adjust your communication style depending on the audience.

The role will require some travel, not expected to exceed 30%.
