Job description

The Procurement Clerk is responsible for performing central purchasing duties of the agency while working in relation to the purchasing bookkeeper and program staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete annual and be-annual master cost comparisons.
  • Work efficiently with program staff for purchase request.
  • Maintain preferred vendor list. Verify vendors and contractors are not debarred. Negotiate pricing with vendors.
  • Assist purchasing bookkeeper with bid and RFP process. Purchase supplies, materials, equipment, etc. for programs.
  • Verify programs have picked up packages from Admin package room. Communicate with program staff regarding delivery.
  • Complete payment vouchers with required documentation.
