We are seeking highly motivated repair operators, for our Ackley, IA location, to make repairs to plastic seed bin containers using a variety of hand tools and plastic welding equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Evaluate seed bins, determine necessary repairs
• Cut out damaged sections of a seed bin to be repaired
• Cut out replacement sections from a scrap seed bin
• Plastic weld the replacement section using proper welding techniques
• Diagnose common equipment problems and effectively communicate with maintenance personnel
• Coordinate with team members for maximum production efficiency
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for minimum downtime and maximum throughput
• Use basic hand tools for routine equipment adjustment and repairs
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to recognize colors
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Good math skills
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Self-discipline and motivation
• Computer skills to include MS Office
• Plastic Welding experience preferred
• Experience using grinders, saws all, drills and Dremel tools
• Ability to work in an organized manner

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Industrial warehouse environment.
