A key role, providing technical & operational support to production and post-production systems, as the Production & Post-Production Engineer you will work to maintain, support and ideate on the highest levels of system reliability and user satisfaction across production, post-production, studio production, transcode and file delivery systems.
Summary:
This role will also be the primary liaison between Production (edit suites, control room) and the studio. This person will oversee the post-production systems workflow including but not limited to server maintenance, cloud-based file storage, editing software and provide technical support throughout. This person will contribute to oversight of daily operations of the studio while creating efficiencies throughout the edit suites and control room. Requirements to be successful in the role include:
- Experienced in studio and on-location productions, both live and taped.
- Overall understanding of technical integration of an advanced studio set up.
- Strong understanding and operational experience in multiple editing software’s (mainly Adobe Creative Cloud) and has vast experience in post – production workflows.
- Extensive experience with audio signal flows, engineering, and troubleshooting.
- Understandings of lighting designs and grids and can assist in developing studio configurations.
- Understanding of developing camera technologies
Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 support to all media technology systems and users.
- Perform in-depth system maintenance, support and troubleshooting.
- Support and document new systems and processes.
- Responsible for working with technical staff (TD, Graphics, Control Room) and be the point of contact for any set technical issue and direction, from control room to floor.
- Ensure the readiness and performance of the Studio and AV systems including but not limited to studio production, signal encoding, file-based workflows/MAM, media IT, display technologies, streaming services, and signal monitoring.
- Liaise with third party vendors/support as required.
- Work effectively within the Broadcast and Multimedia team.
- Responsible for the ingest and management of all New York Jets Content.
- Evaluate new technology and make recommendations as required.
- Document systems and workflows for engineering and operational users.
- Systems include (but are not limited to): Adobe Creative Suite, CatDV, Lectrosonics Venue 2, RTS Intercom System, Avid Nexis, Telestream Vantage, Spectra Logic LTO, Ross Carbonite Studio Switcher, LiveU Transmissions, Cloud-based file storage.
- Liaison between internal content department and Jets IT department.
Experience and Requirements:
- Five to ten years’ experience in a similar role.
- Studio, Production, Post-Production and Broadcast engineering experience educated to Bachelor’s degree level or real - world equivalent preferably with appropriate qualifications.
- A high level of familiarity with non-linear video editing systems. Experience with video transcoding and file delivery.
- SD / HD Video standards and track record of technical excellence with a willingness and ability to participate in developing business opportunities.
- Able to work independently and with other members of a team. Able to create, read, and decipher system schematic drawings.
