This position would work out of our new Minneapolis Campus (across from Mall of America)! Second shift is 3pm-11:30pm.

POSITION SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mange and provide leadership to be consistent with SICK Values including production management to assure on-time delivery, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, optimal communications, and employee training, coaching, timely performance feedback, recruitment, corrective discipline, and development.
- Act as administrative leader controlling staffing levels, coordinating overtime needs, an in general provide consistency of the administrative efforts on all shifts regarding assembly/test and other assigned area activities.
- Act as the process leader for the assigned areas activities on all shifts with broad and thorough knowledge of the products to lead, support, and assist in growth of assigned personnel using technical support as a resource. Train and inform personnel with respect to Right to Know, material handling, health and safety rules, work rules, and other company policies.
- Responsible for timely execution of the manufacturing schedule and communicates work priority to other personnel as necessary. Work cooperatively with internal personnel to maximize production flexibility to meet the dynamic market environment. Proactively plan and implement actions to assure on-time delivery; manage lead-times to internal and external customer expectations.
- Responsible for WIP inventory maintenance and accuracy of all focus store items within assigned production areas. Focus on, support the cycle counting process, and coordinate the disposition of nonconforming parts and products during the production.
- Assure appropriate materials, equipment, tools, and supplies are available and maintained; assure good housekeeping practices and protection of equipment, work surfaces, tools, and work areas; issue work requests for repairs and maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Promote and support team concepts and train employees in the use of scientific problem solving tools. Assist and train the team in process documentation, first time yield improvements, understanding and use of Kanban and lean manufacturing techniques, quality assurance, and statistical methods.
- Coordinate and provide information and technical support to all departments as appropriate and/or requested. Provide regular feedback and work cooperatively with the engineering functions to improve product throughput and first time yield performance.
- Identify and control all departmental budgets, production, repair, and capital equipment.
- Assure the adequate amounts of resources are available to meet established on-time delivery goals and lead-time objectives.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two year vocational or college degree in technical or management related field.
- 3-5 year of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing or technical service environment.
- Experience in the electronics industry required.
Other Qualifications:
- Adept at problem solving, tooling, and fixturing, production scheduling, process validation, creating relationships, and engineering.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated knowledge of to work in a cooperative and team oriented environment.
- Demonstrated first-hand knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and practices.
- Able to work 2nd shift.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet applications.
- Able and willing to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on-call hours as needed.
- Legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Able to work in a general office environment.
