Position Overview: This position is responsible for providing general program support for Pace Center for Girls in Macon, Georgia. This role will perform duties as it pertains to day-to-day office needs, as well as outreach & community engagement. This role will also assist in facilitating public awareness and community engagement utilizing various platforms and avenues.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Answers inquiries and referrals for services in a timely, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Manage and maintain office needs.
  • Coordinate scheduling and intake for girls enrolling in Pace programming.
  • Updating database as needed when receiving referrals.
  • Serves as a contact for community engagement, stewardship, and cultivation. Works within established networks or identifies networking opportunities to enhance resources and expand the community’s awareness of the agency.
  • Outreach and community engagement activities include, but are not limited to: public events, health and wellness fairs, school district events, city and county events. Participates in after-hours center activities (as needed) to support girls, families, and the growth of the program.
  • Assists in the preparation of newsletters, email correspondence and social media for external publication.
  • Maintains the program’s partnership and medias list and assists in the submission of media releases.
  • Develops event materials such as invitations, programs, posters, and ads as well as oversees printing and distribution of materials.
  • Maintains the stock items and documents for enrollment, girl incentives and outreach supplies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years’ experience in a related field or an Associates and four years’ experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills; effective time management and organizational skills; attention to details.
  • Minimum experience using personal computers and database software.
  • Current Georgia driver’s license or state issued ID
  • Working knowledge in: Windows, Canva, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet, Facebook.

Other Requirements

  • Must adhere to Agency Values and Principles.
  • Follows policies and procedures of the Agency.
  • Must work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements.
  • Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required

Preferred

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree.
  • Minimum six months experience in a mental healthcare environment

Work Environment

The work environment takes place in an office during normal business hours. Pace Macon’s office is located in the Booker T Washington Center in Macon.
