Job description
TekPro Support Services, LLC is seeking a Program Support Specialist to support the EMCBC Office of Office of the Director (OoD), HR Advisory Office (HRAO). The contractor shall provide technical and program support services to facilitate the schedule, technical performance, and quality objectives of the HRAO by carrying out duties that include:

  • Provides HR Advisory Services, regarding the full spectrum of human resources functional areas, referring highly technical questions to the Senior Resource Manager or Human Capital HR Consultant and ensuring exceptional customer service through effective and efficient delivery.
  • Ensures collaboration with the SSC HR Consultants to monitor and track actions
  • Maintains working files, org chart, Position Descriptions, hiring form and EM and/or S1/S2 approvals in shared drive.
  • Provides on-boarding/off-boarding information to candidates and managers
  • Provides information on various Benefits and refers customers to SSC as appropriate regarding retirement estimates, Medicare forms, various beneficiary forms, and FEHB activities.
  • Facilitates forward progress of HR actions and products coordinated between Managers/Supervisors and Human Capital Shared Service Center.
  • Coordinates, reviews and initiates non-competitive actions, i.e., employee details, career ladder promotions, reassignments, reorganizations.
  • Ensures accuracy and adequacy of submitted documentation, responds to requests and inquiries regarding HR issues, resolves routine problems and discrepancies, and conducts verification of such documentation.
  • Management and administration of the EMCBC Awards and Recognition Program by reviewing award justifications, locating and completing supporting documents, and monitoring awards workflows in DOE Corporate HR information system (CHRIS).
  • Serves as the primary contact for the Thank You Award Program; plan for and maintain a stock of inventory for the awards program by working with procurement officials; evaluate award nominations against the TYP criteria, route forms for signature, and maintain all award records electronically per the EMCBC file plan; maintain and update program policy as needed.
  • Monitors budget and process for Awards programs (Thank You, Time Off Award and Special Act Programs) to ensure they are in compliance with Human Capital policy.
  • Performs records management for HRAO, including filing, maintaining, researching, and retrieving documents, updating and monitoring various HR tracking reports (staffing status, Awards Tracking, Non-recruit actions, etc.)
  • Submits appropriate HR related information for inclusion in the EMCBC Newsletter.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support the mission.
Qualifications:
1 years of relevant experience.
Strong technical, administrative, organizational, and records maintenance capabilities.
Proficiency in word processing equipment/personal computer using Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint; database and internal HR management tools such as CHRIS and DOE Info to enable the employee to produce personnel products as requested.
Ability to manage work environment and workload with minimum of supervision based on knowledge of work priorities; and
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
