We are offering an opportunity to work in a Project Leader role with a highly skilled,
entrepreneurially focused team. This position offers the flexibility of working from home.
Position Summary
The Project Leader is a critical thinker and problem-solver who is passionate about transforming
business as usual to deliver enhanced service to the community while being a responsible steward of
taxpayer funds. The Project Leader operates in service to the organization and its overall mission,
vision, strategy and goals and will participate in client-based consulting, working with both internal
and external teams. The Project Leader will work primarily with public transportation agencies,
departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations and other public/quasi-public
organizations to strategically prioritize organizational and project outcomes, perform comprehensive
operations analyses to evaluate and improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of service delivered
through process improvement, service redesign, and other strategic investments. Some travel to
client meetings will be required.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead project teams to develop strategic plans based on current agency data to establish best
scenarios to set public agencies up for success
Lead research of best practices including conducting research on better conveying the
economic benefits of investment in public transportation
Conduct economic analysis supporting cost/benefit analysis for public agencies
Support planning and community engagement outreach activities
Develop and present reports and presentations supported by data and rigorous analysis
Serve as independent technical quality reviewers for reports and presentations
Work with team members and clients in various areas of our consulting arena including but
not limited to fixed route and demand response transit service analysis, process/operations
improvement, development of performance management systems, strategic planning,
organizational assessments, stakeholder engagement, and other areas as needed
Provide thought leadership on process improvement, success outcomes and key performance
metric definitions, and other internal projects
Serve as on-boarding liaisons for new analyst and train new team members
Manage the development of planning and coordination of client work including project
budgeting, schedule adherence, quality process, and delivery of exceptional product and
services throughout
Manage projects effectively to ensure that they are completed on time and on budget
Coordinate with other subconsultant team members as needed
Participate in the preparation of marketing materials, including but not limited to proposals
Assist with creating content and sharing content on social media platforms to promote the
growth of the organization

Required Qualifications
Must have at least 5 + years of experience in planning, finance, accounting, analytics,
management, or operations
Strong data analysis skills, economic analysis skills a plus
Strong problem solving, analytical and creative thinking skills
Acute attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Must have expert understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a self-directed manner within a fast-paced,
deadline-driven environment, proactively seeking guidance as needed
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with experience working as part of a team to
complete time-sensitive projects
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
BA or BS degree required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in service efficiency and delivery of public transit
Experience with public transit operations and planning
Familiarity with Federal Transit Administration programs and policies
Other Requirements
Must have the skills and capabilities to work effectively remotely
Candidates must have their own laptop/computer and cellular phone (stipend provided)
Willingness and ability to travel (on average 2-3 days per month)
