PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tracks business opportunities from initial identification to award
- Ensures corporate approved proposal management and customer relationship management applications and systems accurately reflect opportunity status
- Coordinates and provides input to Gate Reviews for prospective opportunities
- Prepares and formats proposal documentation to ensure compliance and readability
- Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations and suggests revisions to the guidelines and standards
- Follows government/customer specifications and company policies and procedures
- Performs Content Management of capture documentation and proposal artifacts
- Serves as team leader to coordinate proposal efforts
- Assists the Capture Manager in managing and directing all proposal efforts and personnel
- Participates in the development and review of proposal strategies and themes and manages the development of Proposal Management Plans (PMP)
- Interviews and collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop effective, compliant technical proposals
- Conducts regular proposal progress status meetings and maintains the proposal schedule
- Manages all aspects of color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold, etc.)
- Coordinates review and approval of Business Opportunity (BizOpp), Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and Teaming Agreement (TA) documentation
- Other reasonable and normal duties associated with the position, as directed by the Bid and Proposal Office Manager
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Composition, Journalism, or the Sciences, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years as a Proposal Coordinator and/or Proposal Writer
- Expertise in proposal management best practices such as Shipley proposal processes
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have experience in desktop publishing
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Business Development, Government contracts, and/or Systems Engineering
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, specifically WinCenter and opportunity lifecycle management tools
- Must be comfortable teleworking as well as working with remote customers
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience producing technical documentation in support of Government projects or contracts is preferred
- Affiliation with the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) is preferred
- Experience in tech support to include troubleshooting and customer service.
- Experience using, maintaining, and enhancing SharePoint sites, libraries, and files
- Experience with MS Project
