Please note this is a part time, 40 hours per pay period position in the HIV Clinic.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a psychiatric nurse practitioner role that provides care for patients living with HIV as part of a comprehensive inter-disciplinary team. This includes some medication management and may also include short-term behavioral therapy as appropriate. This patient population represents a diverse array of individuals living with psychiatric conditions, substance use disorders and challenges associated with the stigma of living with HIV in a rural setting. This role is an integral part of a close-knit team committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care and learning from our patients in order to evolve and grow our program.
In addition to working in the Burlington clinic, this position may travel to the three satellite clinics in Rutland, St Johnsbury, and Brattleboro at a maximum of once per month.
EDUCATION:
Registered nurse who has successfully completed formal education program approved by the Vermont Board of Nursing, or state or national accrediting agency which prepares nurses to function in advanced nursing practice. Must also be certified by national certifying agency recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing. Must be board certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience as a nurse practitioner desired.
