Job description
IVEK Corporation is seeking a dependable, self-motivated team player for our Quality Department. This position will be responsible for performing incoming inspections as directed by the Director of Quality, final inspections in the machine shop, reviewing outgoing shipments for completeness, performing in-house calibrations and maintaining applicable records.
Essential Duties & Requirements
- Ability to read and work from prints
- Communicate with people from all departments as well as suppliers.
- Perform internal audits for the ISO system.
- Use of hand tools for inspection, such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, thread gages and pins.
- Set-up and operate C.M.M., Comparator and Vision System.
- Proper application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Perform purchased parts inspection as directed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
- Track and maintain records for vendors and parts.
- Provide recommendation(s) for additional tools needed.
- Ensure all QA calibrated equipment has a current calibration due sticker.
- Recommend changes to Engineering through the use of Everest software and DCR/N’s.
- Technical background with experience in mechanical assembly manufacturing.
- Inspection abilities using mechanical and electrical measuring and test equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum two year technical or Associate’s degree.
- 3-5 years related experience.
