- Check and inspect rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, pumps, gears and and/or similar components to ensure they meet project requirements
- Provide rotating equipment technical support as needed
- Ensure accurate standards, procedures and specifications are in place for the fabrication and assembly of the rotating equipment assets
- Verify mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for proper alignment and functioning
- Review rotating equipment records, including protocols and equipment history
- Review key rotating equipment maintenance strategies
- Review and interpret applicable Industry Codes, Drawings, Procedures, and Specifications.
- Review and monitor shop inspection procedures for projects related to supplier manufacturing functions.
- Assist in correcting problem areas, products, and process which negatively impact the quality.
- Examine equipment/material to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Completes Inspection Reports; Inspection Man-Hours Follow-up Sheets (IMFS); and Inspection Release Certificates (IRC), as needed, for inspections performed.
- Conduct supplier evaluations to determine supplier capabilities.
- Review project documents regarding supplier quality control requirements.
- Completes inspection portion of Supplier Performance Evaluations at the completion of each assignment.
- Oversees Surveillance of NDE functions (MT, PT, RT, UT,).
