Volt is partnering up with a leading apparel and lifestyle brand in Montebello, CA! We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector!
Job Details:
- Pay: Up to $20/hr
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours a week, 9:00am-5:30pm
- Temporary to Hire
- Location: Montebello, CA
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and compare valuate results to specifications/standard
- Analyze fabric and color quality issues and communicate with suppliers to ensure issues are resolved and not repeated
- If minor faults are present in the fabric or color, defects should be marked on the fabric and communicated to cutting/production department
- Perform visual comparison on materials at different stages of the production process
- Insert material into and remove material from lab machine for testing
- Test products to ensure quality standards
- Monitor and improve quality assurance plans and procedures using established guidelines
- Evaluate product quality and report results in an effective manner
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors
- Check dimensional stability with washing and drying, checking the stretch and shrinkage of the fabric
- Identify fabric issues, such as pilling, barre, etc.
- Ensure organization and record keeping/filing
- Use computer to input data into company specific database or system
- Manage day to day operations of the Quality Control Lab
Qualifications:
- Must have visual acuity
- Must have color visual skills that allow viewing of colors with very little to no contrast (with or without magnification)
- Able to work under pressure and a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to follow instructions
- Detail oriented
- Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach while handling material or products
- Work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors
- Ensure good housekeeping of all areas on company premises
- Comply with company processes and procedures
