Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, improvement, and deployment of Quality Management Systems. The role promotes improvement initiatives and needs to frequently interface with other Momentive functional roles. The role is also responsible for maintaining Quality Certification (ISO 9001:2008/2015) and AS-9001 for the site.
Tasks and responsibilities of the position:
Quality Assurance:
· Coordinate and oversee customer response program related to product quality, specifications and related services.
· Drive Product Quality through manufacturing capability improvement programs and ensure quality meets our customer needs
· Maintain and promote Quality Assurance procedures for approval of raw materials, including inspection, testing, and vendor approval
· Maintain an effective corrective action process for quality systems findings, vendor non-conformances, and other internally recognized issues.
· Plan, direct and perform internal quality audits to ensure the effectiveness of the QMS.
· Create, update and review Process Interaction Maps, Control Plans and FMEAs for internal processes and supplier activities
· Ensure that a thorough quality planning process is followed for new product and new material introductions.
· Serve as the subject matter expert and resource person regarding the published Quality Standards and Systems Procedures
· Sustain and promote the 5S environment in the quality laboratory and across the plant site.
· Partner with plant leadership team to understand supplier quality vulnerabilities.
· Responsibilities to maintaining AS 9001 and ISO 9001 certifications
· Conduct supplier audits to ensure effectiveness of their QMS and verify corrective actions from Supplier Corrective Action Reports
Leadership:
· Set tactical and strategic direction for the Quality Department
· Actively participate on the Site Leadership Team, providing unbiased feedback and direction for the site
· Evaluate departmental and site Key Performance Indicators (metrics) for performance measurement and continuous improvement
· Partner with operating associates and other functional groups in order to identify opportunities and develop and implement standard operating procedures improving team function
· Identify and lead site continuous improvement and culture shaping programs.
· Test Methods & Equipment - Ensure continuous improvement of analytical methods and the removal of obsolete methods and specifications
· Manage personnel for instrument calibration and maintenance records for all test equipment and train operating technicians in the use of testing equipment
· Ensure complete and accurate recording and reporting of all QA/QC related information, including test methods, instrument calibrations, customer charting, raw materials and finished goods
· Customer and Vendor Interaction - Coordinate, investigate, and respond to customer issues through thorough RCCA determination and follow-up
· Maintain an effective corrective action process for quality systems issues, vendor non-conformances, and other internally recognized issues
· Ensure that a thorough quality planning process is in place for new product and new material introductions.
· Provide customers and sales personnel with periodic SQC reports as required
· Interface with customers with regards to specifications and quality surveys.
· Promote risk-based analysis of processes and lead activities to reduce identified risks
· Collaborate with EHS on the Management of Change process to ensure effective implementation.

· Operations Manager’s, Site Quality Leaders, Product Managers, Marketing, Sales and Procurement
Travel Requirements
Up to 10%
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
· Quality Management role Working knowledge of SAP QM desirable
· Ability to lead RCCA investigations
· Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of plant and management personnel
· Ability to lead and influence project teams
· Must have good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Advanced degree in related field or MBA
· Solid working knowledge of industrial statistics
· 10 years’ experience in a Quality Management role
· Advanced knowledge of SAP functionality
· Experience in chemical industry desired
· Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification desired
