SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Practice Strategy and Transformation, the Quality Improvement Project Manager will support performance and quality improvement activities that ensure the care we provide is safe, efficient, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. This includes managing, supporting, and/or coaching performance/quality improvement projects, co-facilitating the Performance Improvement Committee, and measuring, analyzing, and communicating progress toward health center goals.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Improvement Program Support
- Coordinate the annual update process for the DotHouse Clinical Quality Program plan, which includes selecting priority measures and goals, identifying program objectives, creating an implementation timeline, and developing an evaluation plan
- Oversee the implementation of assigned day-to-day quality improvement activities related to DotHouse Health’s programs and services
- Co-facilitate the Performance Improvement Committee’s monthly meeting with the Practice Strategy and Transformation Director and under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer
- Provide project management, coaching, and meeting facilitation to support performance improvement teams, which involves coordinating with stakeholders across DotHouse and Boston HealthNet
- Utilize recognized project management and quality improvement methodology, including the IHI Model for Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile, etc.
- Assess training needs of DotHouse Staff in the areas of quality improvement and project management methodology, and develop/lead training sessions
- Support compliance with HRSA, NCQA, and ACO requirements relating to quality improvement/performance management activities
Measure, Analyze, and Communicate Progress Towards Goals
- Oversee data collection and analysis related to process improvement projects and ongoing performance management, which includes determining the best methods for extracting related reports and potentially either building reports in Epic Reporting Workbench or working with the Reporting Data Analyst
- Provide regular communication about quality and performance improvement activities, including sending newsletters and presenting at staff meetings.
- Generate dashboards and bulletins on priority clinical measures and operational performance indicators
- Support data tracking and analysis relating to advancing the DotHouse Health’s strategic plan
- Support the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for leadership governance and regulators, including supporting grant reporting for clinical projects
- Support Director of Strategy and Transformation and Population Health Manager in database management, including ongoing validation and mapping for quality measures
- Other projects and duties, as assigned
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s Degree can substitute for two years’ experience)
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in health or related field, preferable working on quality improvement, project management, and/or program evaluation
At least one year of experience or training with quality improvement and/or project management methodology
(IHI/Lean/Six Sigma training and/or PMP or other PM certification a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel for data analysis and visualization, and either proficiency in or willingness to learn Power BI or other data visualization tools
Epic experience preferred
Clinical/direct patient care experience a plus

Ability to multi-task; comprehensive organization skills
Strong leadership skills, including meeting facilitation and conflict management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including clinical, operations, and IT staff
