At the Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, we have an opening for a reading / writing teacher to coach students in need of academic support. Please be available to begin at 4pm at least 2 days/week as we have a number of students requesting this starting time.

At Sylvan of Hamilton in Mercer County, we have a really fun, productive work environment. We offer instruction to students in grades K-12, including SAT/ACT prep and essay writing. Our work is designed around improving their skills, confidence and motivation for each student we help by individualizing instruction delivered by excellent teachers, and supported by a passionate team that is dedicated to achieving success – one student at a time.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greets students and initiates instruction to personally engage
• Evaluates and records the progress of each student on their program assignment
• Communicates specific student needs to center staff

Requirements:

• Teaching certification (retired teachers welcome to apply)
• Evening and/or weekend availability (hours are below)
• A love of helping students to reach their goals without administrative or scheduling responsibilities!

During the school year, our center is open the following days & times (the ideal candidate does not have to be available all of these days/times):

Monday - Thursday: 4pm-8pm

Saturday: 9am-1:00pm

Sunday: 10am-2pm
