Real Estate Loan Processor / Loan Documentation Specialist
Job description
GENERAL SUMMARY
- Prepares and reviews loan documents necessary for closing commercial, mortgage and consumer loans.
- Promotes Bank’s products or services. Develops new business and customer relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years prior banking experience with emphasis on loan administration preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of lending regulations
- Working knowledge of loan documents and legal requirements for perfecting various types of collateral

- Capacity to make independent decisions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Organized and accurate in work
- Demonstrated initiative
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain cognizant of deadlines and schedules
- Proven record for meeting deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills and interpersonal savvy
- Ability to work well with customers, staff, attorneys, vendors, and general public.
- Proven ability to develop relationships
- Personable and professional manner
- Above average oral, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Experience in a loan documentation software program, preferably LaserPro
- Computer proficiency including Word and Excel
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare all documents required for ratification of commercial, mortgage and consumer loans
- Process all loan related documents
- Assist Lending Officer and clients with loan closings
- Act as a liaison between VNB and legal representatives of its clients for loan matters
- Ensure collateral is secured in a timely manner
- Ability to comprehend regulatory and bank policy issues when preparing loan documents
