Ships and receives incoming and outgoing materials and disperses to appropriate location using powered industrial trucks, manual hand truck, and overhead cranes or hoists.
Keeps records of all incoming materials, and notifies appropriate personnel of insufficient order quantities, unacceptable quality or inventory discrepancies.
Records and reports are completed on the computer using appropriate software. In addition to shipping and receiving in material, the stock selector will be required to gather parts and necessary quantities from racks and storage areas and provide to appropriate staging areas at the assembly line. Extra parts are taken to appropriate storage areas.
Keep plant neat, clean, and orderly. Identifies/labels the appropriate part number on all [arts before transferring to new or different locations.

Education Required
High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience or Training Required
Requires reading, writing, adding, subtracting, ability to operate powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks. Ability to follow instructions.
Must be able to successfully master all elements of training control documents for this position.

Essential Job Functions
1. Visually inspect incoming materials for noticeable defects. Notifies supervisor or other personnel of insufficient order quantities, unacceptable defects, or inventory discrepancies.
2. Transports incoming materials to appropriate department of storage areas using powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks, or overhead crane of hoist.
3. Uses computer and current software to enter data and generate reports.
4. Reports improper equipment operation to supervisor.
5. Responsible for keeping storage areas neat, clean and orderly.
6. Responsible for keeping accurate incoming and outgoing material transactions.
7. Other essential functions maybe assigned.
