This position is offering a $1,500 sign-on and $2,000 relocation bonus.*

The Refugee Site Supervisor will primarily be responsible for providing successful development, operations and management of Refugee Resettlement programs and services within a specific designated geographic area. This individual will also successfully supervise direct service and support staff across the programs and contracted services. The Site Supervisor will also be accountable for the quality of service delivery, utilizing professional standards, corporate office expectations and contract requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the hiring and training of direct service and support staff;
  • Provide direct supervision of direct service and support staff through individual supervisory sessions, team meetings, peer supervision and annual performance reviews;
  • Ensure program compliance as required by LIRS, PA Refugee Programs, PRM Cooperative Agreement, and ORR;
  • Review client records and reports to ensure high quality of service delivery;
  • Assist staff in recruitment, development, nurturing and maintaining relationships with landlords, churches, volunteers and employers;
  • Provide, when needed, case coverage for refugee services in the absence or turnover of program staff;
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of current refugee issues through personal reading, attendance at related seminars, webinars and conference calls;
  • Ensure agency policies and procedures are enforced through completion of staff evaluations, timesheets, reimbursement oversight and other agency approval procedures;
  • Manage ETO schedules to ensure adequate coverage and availability of services to clients;
  • Attend and participate in branch lead staff and general staff meetings;
  • Assist in representing BCS in training and educating local faith-based organizations, educational institutions, and individuals on refugee issues;
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and review weekly work plans with all staff to ensure quality client services;
  • Ensure timely responses to DCRM inquiries, either directly or through designated staff;
  • Participate in Quarterly Consultation and other area Refugee Services community meetings;
  • Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with LIRS and other Refugee-serving agencies;
  • Assist branch development staff in fundraising for the Resettlement program;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Master’s level degree in Social Services, or equivalent field of study;
  • At least three (3) years of experience overseeing a program in the field of social services;
  • Experience managing others with successful budget development and management expertise;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality;
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions;
  • Active motor vehicle license and a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage;
  • Maintain a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage;
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment.
  • Note: Internal candidates do not qualify for sign-on bonuses.
