Job description
To provide assistance to the Reimbursement Manager in maximizing third party reimbursement at CAMC.
Responsibilities
• Gives assistance in preparation of CAMC Medicare/Medicaid Cost Statement, Medicare Interim Review Reports, Reimbursement related surveys and/or questionnaires, HCCRA Financial Disclosure, and miscellaneous reports necessary for efficient management of third party reimbursement. • Prepares the Management Contracts, Medicare/Medicaid Cost Statements, Medicate Interim Rate Review, Reimbursement related surveys and/or questionnaire, HCCRA Financial Disclosure, and miscellaneous reports necessary for efficient management of third party reimbursement. • Assists the Budget and Cost Accounting areas of the department when necessary. • Prepares and submits hospital-based professional information to third party payers to obtain professional billing numbers. • Completes data entry of all input forms in connection with the Ernst & Whinney cost report preparation systems. • Contacts and obtains information form department heads in a tactful and efficient manner. • Makes reimbursement decisions under the guidance of the Reimbursement Manager and/or the Director of Reimbursement, Budget, and Cost Accounting. • Completes occasional projects assigned by the Executive Vice President for Finance and/or the Vice President for Finance. • Organizes his/her work in such a manner that all projects will be completed on a timely and accurate basis. • Acquires a more in-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid law. • Maintains working relationships with personnel at CAMC, its subsidiaries and facilities under CAMC management contract, and external contacts.

Perform related duties as assigned.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education: Bachelor Degree Business Administration with concentration in Accounting Experience: 3 Years reimbursement experience in the hospital setting Substitution: 5 years in hospital accounting supporting reimbursement may substitute for 2 years hospital reimbursement experience.
