The Resource Manager is a partner to the service lines (the part of LMI’s organization responsible for developing capabilities and people for our clients) and assists the vice president and directors with resource planning and allocation, utilization, capacity, billable time, and indirect budgets.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the service line directors with tracking contracts coming to an end; staffing resources on projects; and providing accurate utilization, capacity analysis, and insights for 600+ individuals aligned to their respective capability areas
  • Develop the strategy and roadmap for resource allocation for Workforce Mobility, Contract Redeployment (Re-allocating Resources), Short Term Project Allocation (e.g. capture and proposal efforts), and Bench Management in partnership with Project Control Analysts (PCAs) to help with project greening
  • Interface with employees to understand their skill sets, background, development needs, and career goals & use this information to support directors in assigning people to projects
  • Work with the directors to identify resource training needs (based on demand and future projects)
  • Determine staffing and upskilling recommendations and present them to leadership
  • Ensure new hires receive service line-specific training and share any training requirements with talent management
  • Leverage LMI’s systems and tools to support service line directors in decision making, managing budgets, and tracking metrics
  • Work with Talent Acquisition to identify funded and contingent positions that match redeployment and mobility candidates’ skills
  • Plan and facilitate a periodic cadence with leadership to discuss available resources for redeployment, mobility, or short-term reassignment
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Resource Data Analytics, including generating insights from data in spreadsheets; developing slides to visually present analyses; and using and making recommendations to improve dashboards
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to execute across multiple service lines, people, and projects
  • Experience in an agile environment, including the ability to lead within ambiguous settings, strong team building and presence, internal motivation and drive, and a record of delivering results
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a track record of robust project management skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the internal and external business environment
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with an executive-level audience
  • Previous experience as a project/resource/HR manager is optional but advantageous
  • Data analytics automation experience desired but not required
