What You Will Do:
This Retail Operations Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing all store communications and ensuring information is sent to stores in a methodical and complete manner that is understood by field teams. In addition, this position supports the Store Environment team, and is responsible for coordinating and managing cross functional projects to ensure that deliverables and timelines are met. One element of this responsibility is the execution of the Planogram process and POG development for stores.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Communications:
o Store Communications:
  • Lead communications and calendar for field personnel (Store Communications & Merchandise News)
  • Responsible for collaborating across the organization (all departments) to determine key items that need to be communicated with stores.
  • Facilitate Monthly Promo call content.
  • Draft calendar that aligns Store Ops execution needs. Determine how and when to incorporate content from other departments – to create synthesized communications.
  • Maintain distribution lists for internal communications. Adding new locations and new user roles.
  • Coordinates and manages small-medium sized cross-functional projects that enable process improvement
o Identify action steps and ensure project meets deliverables and timelines.

o Ensure communication up, across, and down the organization to facilitate top-down vision, goals, and objectives from business strategy through successful optimal solutions and completion.

o Ensure master program plans and schedules are followed.

o Ensure program/project is planned to orchestrate projects, resources, timescales, monitoring and control.

  • Store Materials:
o Build planograms to inform stores about product placement

o Proof store-use marketing materials

o Ensure all materials are needed to launch new products

  • As necessary, this position may assist with Event Planning, and managing events for Merchandising (e.g., LLU National Sales Meeting and Vendor Partner Summit) including space allocation, funds, roles and responsibilities for team members, etc.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education:
  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited four year college or university, preferably in marketing, communications or other related discipline
Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:
  • Two to three years related experience or training in planning and executing Marketing, PR, or Social Media campaigns with measurable success; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to present information and speak effectively before groups of customers, clients and other members of the organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Individuals in this position generally work in an office environment that involves the use of office equipment, such as computers, copiers, telephones, and other office machinery/equipment. Individuals may experience occasional exposure to a retail sale and/or warehouse environment involving material moving and heavy equipment (e.g. forklift) where there may be some exposure to moderate noise, outdoor elements (heat and cold) and airborne particles.
