Position Summary:
This position provides leadership for Revenue Cycle Operations that are part of the Williamson Medical Health System. The position is charged with defining and establishing strategic direction and priorities for the Revenue Cycle Departments. This leader will also develop key relationships across the health system to drive improved performance in revenue capture and reimbursement while ensuring compliance and adherence to policies and procedures. The revenue cycle leader will also use lean methodologies and metrics to drive performance and improvements in processes and technology. This position includes direct oversight of Patient Access and Patient Financial Services. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education / Training:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

Workplace Experience:
At least 5 years progressive management experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Operations

Equipment and Skills Training:
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Physical Environment and Availability:
Medical Center/Hospital
1. Employee may be required to report to or remain at hospital for prolonged and unusual durations in the event of an internal or external emergency
2. Employee must be reasonably accessible outside work hours by phone, and may be required to participate in the administrative on-call rotation
Physical Effort:
1. Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
2. Efficient oral and written communication
3. Prolonged sitting, consistent keyboard and terminal usage
4. Standing, walking and bending

Key Results:
Obtains greater than the hospital median score for patient and employee satisfaction surveys.
Develops the strategic vision for Williamson Medical Health System’s Revenue Cycle. Works with leaders to maximize teamwork and results across the revenue cycle.
Maintains operating expense at or below amount budget. Ensures budget variance comments are entered timely.
Maintains overall revenue cycle productivity at more than 80% of peer group in the Vantage Productivity system.
Continually improves processes, implements industry best practices, and improves outcomes by implementing innovations and using lean methodology.
Develops denial management processes to eliminate denial root causes and reduce the denial impact on Williamson Medical Health System.
Collaborates with revenue cycle leaders as well as clinical department leaders to maximize revenue and key performance indicators.
Provides and promotes outstanding customer service throughout Williamson Medical Center and among the physicians and their office staff members.
Reviews metrics, compares to best practices, sets goals, and uses data to drive revenue cycle operational improvements.
Assists in the review and implementation of revenue cycle software as needed to maintain/improve compliance and/or efficiency.
Regularly provides accurate and timely communication to leaders and staff by huddle, staff meetings and/or email.
As necessary, informs Physician Liaisons of occasions to educate physician office staff regarding Revenue Cycle functions and opportunities.
