RN TRIAGE/OFFICE NURSE – PEDIATRICS
ELMHURST PHYSICIAN PRACTICE DIVISION
Full-time
LOCATION: Center for Health, 1200 S. York Rd, Elmhurst. In this position, you may rarely travel to the Pediatric locations: Elmhurst, Addison, Hinsdale, Lombard.
Office hours are M-TH, 8am-8pm, Friday 8-5, and Saturdays 8-2. Will work a minimum of 1-2 evenings per week & 2 Saturdays per month.
This very busy Pediatric office has 12 providers that rotate between 4 locations.
Summary: Under the direction of the Supervisor, Clinical Staff provides high quality nursing care for patients as identified by the standards of Nursing Practice and the Illinois State Nurse Practice Act. The staff nurse may function within one or more of the outpatient departments. Occasional floating to other departments may be required depending on the staffing needs.
Responsibilities include: Mainly phone triage, patient advocate, patient education, immunizations, injections, nebulizer treatments, and point of care testing. Will also prep patients (room patients), complete patient refills, physical forms, start referrals, and medication forms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current Illinois RN licensure required.
- Communicate clearly in English - written/oral; second language desirable (Spanish preferred)
- Annual CPR certification (C-level)
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
- Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime and Saturday hours
