Job description
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assist and report to the Director of Sales
- Management and maintenance of current accounts and group sales
- Output 15-20 cold calls per day/ perform outside sales calls
- Develop and maintain relationships with all appropriate organization contacts
- Compile monthly financials for hotel and conference center with explanation of daily changes
- Monitor room pick-up percentages and cutoff dates keeping contact with groups
- Assist groups as necessary in filling the blocks
- Prepare and send out all contracts for room blocks and conference events
- Follow up calls on all leads, due contracts, rebookings, etc.
- Negotiate and close sales while meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Assist with incoming sales/reservation calls for conference center and hotel
- Regularly schedule meetings with guests to sell the facility
- Competent in Salesforce, customer contact database
- Competent in Opera, hotel property management system
- Competent in Event Master, conference center booking system
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years prior sales experience with outside sales calling experience preferred
- College degree or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge in Opera or hotel operating systems preferred
- Knowledge in Salesforce preferred
