A-Lert Roof Systems, a division of Centurion Industries, Inc., has been an industry pioneer and leader in the standing seam metal roof world for over 35 years. As a manufacturer, A-Lert offers its customers with a one-stop-shop experience that includes, engineering, drafting/design, manufacturing, and installation, and project management.
A-Lert is one of a few that began pioneering the retrofit roof concept. Our influence has helped create new standards in the International Building Code (IBC) that allows our system to save customers hundreds of thousands of dollars on their roofing projects.
Our prestigious list of customers includes, but is not limited to: The Army Corps of Engineers, Multiple state Army and Air National Guards, Numerous school districts, Sheriff departments, United States Border Patrol, and many more. States include, but are not limited to; Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and Missouri.
A-LERT IS SEEKING:
At A-Lert, our sales team is the engine that drives our organization toward better results and greater success. The ideal Sales Manager has in-depth knowledge of and experience in the roofing industry and/or a solid understanding of construction type sales processes. The Sales Manager will be a champion in lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. A quick learner with strong leadership skills, and someone with a track record of sales success who can inspire the same in others.
EXPECTATIONS
The Sales Manager must be open to ongoing learning, coachable, and motivated by the success of others and agreed-upon goals and expectations. The Sales Manager must remain consistently active in effective planning, goal setting, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance. The Sales Manager will strive to develop both personally and professional while possessing the ability to hire, train, and develop new business development personnel. The Sales Manager will be expected to monitor results and hold team accountable to agreed upon expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of roof sales; commercial, residential, or a mix of both.
- 2+ years of standing seam metal roof sales preferred.
- Substantial knowledge of various roofing types. (Modified-Bit, Shingle, Tar & Asphalt, other membrane roof systems, etc.)
- 1+ years of sales team management, preferably in a construction capacity or roofing specific.
- Favorable background that will allow access to military installations, schools, and other security sensitive installations.
- Proven sales record of at least $2 million annually.
- 1+ years selling to or working with city, state, and federal government agencies.
The following established skill sets are highly desired:
- Above-average interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication verbally, physically, and in writing.
- High level of emotional intelligence that demonstrates a calm, patient, and understanding demeanor when under pressure.
- A positive and strong social perception that will allow you to adapt to different settings, people, and situations.
Great conceptual skills, including:
- Problem-solving
- Strategic planning and an outside the box mentality that demonstrates a motivated and self-determined attitude.
- A subject matter expert (SME) level of technical understanding and the ability to speak and present products in a simple but informative and persuasive manner.
- Team player who s not afraid to lead by example.
- Knowledge of various CRM systems, preferably ACT.
- Expert in overcoming objections.
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to follow-up and communicate effectively with sales representatives and A-Lert leadership to ensure the A-Lert brand and yourself are highly sought after on all future roofing matters.

Compensation: A-Lert offers a generous compensation package that includes a base salary plus commission, as well as some of the following:
