We've been in the produce and specialty business for over 100 years and our exceptional quality and service has made us the first choice in distribution for a wide range of businesses that include restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools, universities and more!

We are a fourth generation and our customer base extends from Maine to Connecticut (and all points in between!).

A little about you

To be successful in this type of role, we are looking for candidates who can:

  • Illustrate and expand Katsiroubas Produce as the leading Produce & Specialty distributor within the marketplace
  • Engage and foster strong long-lasting relationship with potential customers within sales territory
  • Build, maintain and enhance relationship with existing customers
  • Seasoned proficiency with penetration strategies to maximize sales with existing customers/accounts
  • Ability to introduce and present new products into accounts through various communication channels, including face to face customer interaction
  • Professionally and effectively communicate in a professional manner to both internal and external customers
  • Work along inside sales team to provide exceptional support to all customers.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with all operational teams.
  • Ability to monitor market conditions in relation to competitors
  • Ability to identify and recommend improvements to improve sales performance if needed
  • Excellent follow through, especially when following up on leads
  • Answer customer questions
  • Be proactive, especially as it relates to informing new and existing customers about new products etc.
  • Great Interpersonal skills as you will be working with a wide variety of people each day. The ability to develop relationships and network is huge.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly convey the benefits of products

*Outside Sales Representatives must be local to Boston area*


Requirements:

Food service or retail background

  • At least two years of sales experience, preferably within the food distribution industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong ability to maintain customer relationships as well as provide first-rate support
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office
