POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides routine semi-technical assistance in a variety of laboratory support duties.
Department: Institue Molecular Medicine
Location: Fayez S. Sarofim Research Building @ 1825 Pressler Street
Status: Seasonal/ Non- Exempt
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Collects, washes, dries, sterilizes, and redistributes laboratory glassware.
2. Soaks and hand brushes special attention glass items in dichromate acid.
3. Assists in the setup of miscellaneous materials for instructional laboratories, inventory checking,
and general cleaning.
4. Assists in photocopying for faculty members.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
None
Individuals must be a minimum age of 16 years.
High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
None; one year of experience with laboratory and/or scientific procedures, preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Exerts up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or up to 5 pounds constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
