PGA WEST SECURITY OFFICER

Position Description

Responsible for the safeguarding of PGA WEST Golf Course, assets, guests, visitors and employees.

POSITION SUMMARY

Patrol PGA WEST Golf Courses to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all Club assets. Assist The Club at PGA WEST and PGA WEST Homeowners with respect to safety, security and maintaining order. Initiate and follow-up on all reports with regards to noise, disruption and security on the Golf Course at PGA WEST. Write incident and accident reports for Club Management and the HOAs at PGA WEST in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records while performing basic Security Officer duties.

  Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

  Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

  Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  Must possess basic computational ability.

  Must possess basic computer skills.

  Knowledge of HOA ordinances and fire-safety procedures.

• 
  Ability to operate hand held two-way radio and knowledge of ten codes.

  Ability to operate a golf cart.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

  Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.

  Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

  Must be self-directed and be able to work independently.

• 
  Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

  Excellent communication and organization skills.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

High school or equivalent education preferred.

Experience

Minimum of one-year security related background required.

Licenses or Certificates

Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits. Current CPR certification and First Aid training required.
