Title: Security Guard - Papago Baseball Complex

Reports To: Assistant Directory, Player Development- Operations

Department: Player Development

Duration: Early January 2023- Late August 2023

Position Summary:

The San Francisco Giants are seeking a Security Guard to join the Baseball Operations department. This position primary focus is on maintain a safe and secure at Papago Baseball Complex by directing fans to the appropriate viewing areas and secures restricted areas including parking lots. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service to all players, employees, guests and fans.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure non-Giants personnel stay within the spectator areas and do not access restricted areas
• Assist fans and outside personnel with questions and pointing them to the appropriate spectator areas.
• Patrols areas assigned and ensure the safety of all guests and employees.
• Observe and report unusual or suspicious activity at Papago
• Aware of all current activities, functions for each particular game at the time of duty
• Ensure that both parking lots are secure

Skills and Qualifications:

• Required to walk long distances, climb up/down stairs and stand for long periods of time
• Position is outside so must be able to be in direct sun for the duration of the shift
• Previous security experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred, but not required
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
• Must be available at 8:30am daily with a flexible schedule according to practices, game schedules and additional event needs in the Spring and Summer. Shift end-times may vary based on practice and game schedules.
