We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, highly organized, self-motivated SENIOR ACCOUNTANT that would like to join our team of professionals in our efforts to deter and combat insurance fraud. This position is full time exempt, based in our corporate office in Denton, TX and will report to the Sr. VP of Finance.

This position will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be participating in the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. They will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Full Cycle Accounting
  • Monthly Payroll Analysis
  • Fixed Asset Accounting
  • Prepaid Expense Schedules
  • Journal Entry Prep
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Reconciled company credit cards and employee expenses
  • Budget and Forecast variance analyses
  • 401k Audits
  • Interfaced with banks, state tax departments and clients
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
  • Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
  • Other departmental duties as needed

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters highly preferred
  • 3+ year’s Accounting experience
  • Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity

Benefits:
VRC provides medical, dental, vision, disability benefits, as well as paid vacation, and a 401K/Profit Sharing retirement plan.

Compensation:
Accepted candidates will be paid a base salary commensurate ($70,000 - $80,000) with relevant experience and qualifications and incentives dependent on position. VRC employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis.
