Opportunity Overview:
Senior Accountant - Contract role supporting BHI Energy in Weymouth, MA
WECTEC Staffing has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant supporting BHI Energy in the Weymouth, MA. office. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
What your day-to-day looks like:
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to senior finance personnel's attention
- Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
- Assist and collaborate with financial audits
- Oversee Accounts Payable process
- Participate in the development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
What we need to see from you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- 5+ years’ experience in general accounting
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
