In Accounting, we're responsible for recording and reconciling financial transactions, processing vendor payments, processing payroll, calculating and remitting taxes. We also produce external and internal financial reports and interpret accounting guidance.

Senior Accountant will perform a variety of duties in the Accounting Department which include but are not limited to maintaining the Bank's accounting records, capturing & recording accruals, daily and monthly reconciliation, and analysis and certification of various General Ledger accounts; related SOX controls; and application of appropriate technical accounting and regulatory rules. The individual will report directly to the Bank's Accounting Director, must be extremely adaptable, be a self-starter, and be an independent contributor. The role requires exceptional level of detail, documentation, communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

What you'll do as a Senior Accountant (Hybrid):

  • Responsible for aspects of month- and quarter-end closing process (including certifications, variance analysis and related analytics) for various areas including Real Estate and Non-Real Estate Leases, Subleases, and Expense Accruals.

  • Assist with technical accounting research and complex lease agreements review under ASC 842 Leases.

  • Play a key role in process improvements, operational effectiveness, and automation initiatives that impact accounting.

  • Present financial results and flux analysis to the leadership for financial results discussion.

  • Ensure monthly lease payments are complete, accurate, and timely.

  • Assist Business Partners with Lease requests as needed such as forecasting and payment reconciliations

  • Assist with audit requests by addressing any inquiries and providing appropriate documents to internal and external auditors.

  • Ensure maintenance of effective internal controls and appropriate accounting procedures, including evaluation of processes and controls for compliance with SOX.

  • Analyze data for daily & monthly reconciliations and complete ad hoc reports with analytical components.

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.

  • Lease accounting experience is a plus.

  • Lease system implementation experience a plus.

  • Good knowledge of GAAP, with experience working with technical accounting matters and standards.

  • Excellent attention to details.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

  • Proficient in Excel, and experience with Oracle preferred.

  • CPA or equivalent professional certifications preferred.

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.

Base salary range

$90,000 - $114,000 annually

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills and experience. Full-time employees may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes: medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off and a Wellness Program. Annual bonus, incentive pay and/or equity may also apply depending upon the role.
