Job Summary

Due to continued significant growth, Hörmann, a leading garage door manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Accountant to join our accounting team in Sparta, TN.

The main responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in chart of accounts conversion and
• Assist in SAP implementation activities for our subsidiaries
• Assist in maintaining the general accounting system
• Assist in reconciling cash and intercompany accounts
• Post vendor invoices into SAP
• Record AR/AP, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and GL transactions
• Assist in the preparation of various account analyses
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Provide analytical support
• Review, calculate, and reconcile month-end and year-end accruals
• Research issues and assist in researching financial information
• Develop ad hoc reports and financial analyses
  
• Serve as backup position for multiple accounting roles
• Perform other duties as required

To be considered for the Accountant position, the qualified candidate must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with SAP
• 3+ years previous work with experience in manufacturing companies
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong skills in planning
• Detail oriented with excellent follow through and initiative
• Able to work independently and as a Team player
• Ability to multi-task and bring projects/tasks to successful completion
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
