As a Senior Automation Project Manager at IDEXX, you will be responsible for providing leadership on projects from initiation through delivery and throughout the life of the project. These projects are in support of producing high quality medical diagnostic products, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in multiple work centers and gain new skills that can help you advance in your career. You will operate under 5S & Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO standards, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.

In This Role

You will work to solve problems using root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions.

You will analyze and compile engineering data to draw conclusions.

You will coordinate and manage automation engineering activities in support of production machinery including -machine controls, interfaces, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), software, and data tracking.

You will coordinate equipment improvement designs and implements improvements.

You will manage outsourced vendors involved in design projects.

You will create project plans, gathers resources, implements projects.

You will manage projects and be accountable for successful project delivery while coordinating activities to ensures effective communication within the project team.

You can expect to track project schedules, reports on progress and takes corrective action as needed.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, and manufacturing) with 5+ years’ experience, or 8+ year of equivalent experience.

You have strong communication skills, both verbally and written

You have a solid technical aptitude with a background and experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and process improvement.

You’re a self-starter with strong analytical skills and experience working within a team, as well as individually.
