POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Integrative Longevity Omics (ILO) study, is a multi-site research study taking place at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Boston University that aims to understand the biological processes that contribute to healthy longevity of centenarians. The Albert Einstein College of Medicine site seeks a part-time Senior Clerk to provide clerical support to the office for study participant recruitment and management of study participant data.
- Greet all visitors to the office;
- Duties include but are not limited to filing, photocopying, answering calls, sort and distribute mail;
- Provide general clerical assistance if needed;
- Maintain appropriate files;
- Assist with ordering supplies and organizing office supply inventory;
- Assist with coordinating office calendars;
- Contact the appropriate department at Einstein or Montefiore for repairs and office maintenance;
- Identify families with exceptional longevity using internet resources and voter registration records.
- Assist with subject recruitment via telephone, email, mail and scheduling visits
- Assist with subject follow-up by mailing documents, letter, and lab results
- Entry of research data in the study database, ensure data accuracy
- Provide additional clerical support to the Integrative Longevity Omics research team as needed
- Other related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required;
- 1-2 years clerical experience required.
- Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. May use other web based programs as assigned;
- Must be organized, detail-oriented;
- Must be self-motivated, take initiative, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Interest in working with the elderly
- Ability to work well in a team setting and independently is essential
