The Senior DevOps Engineer will be reporting to the Senior Manager, DevOps as a part of the strategic DevOps function for Shake Shack Digital encompassing all the Guest Facing and In-Shack Digital platforms. S/he will be implementing Digital platforms, set and maintain release and deployment benchmarks, improve the overall CI/CD for Digital delivering incremental value. The DevOps function spreads across various Guest facing and In-Shack platforms that include (not limited to) Websites, App and Kiosk, Shack Stack, Operator App, Guest Expo and so on. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for Releasing fault tolerant products. S/he will be responsible for Infrastructure provisioning and system administration. S/he will act the primary problem solver and have the ownership of AWS Infrastructure working closely with Development, Quality Assurance, Digital Support and Technical Product teams. S/he will implement security policies and automation tools that detect and identify security issues and vulnerabilities while code is being written. S/he will partner with Development and DevOps team ensure that Deployment pipelines are appropriately automated. S/he will be responsible for Integrated Application Security Controls Into the CI/CD Toolchain. S/he is responsible for SRE (site reliability engineering) improving the ability operate, manage and maintain Shake Shack digital infrastructure better. S/he will review AWS cloud deployment architectures and implement required security controls. S/he will ensure security best practices are followed and provide solutions to improve existing infrastructure. The Senior DevOps Engineer will ensure compliance with industry-standard regulations. S/he will establish trust throughout the organization and be viewed as a team player with differentiated communication and analytical skills.

Release engineering including work required to build and deploy application code. This includes selecting, provisioning, and maintaining CI/CD tooling, writing and maintaining bespoke build/deploy scripts.
Act as the primary DevOps Engineer owing the AWS infrastructure troubleshooting and improvement of the pipelines. Leveraging various tools across the board ensuring 99.98 % uptime for the digital platforms.
Monitoring, Maintaining and Reporting on the Stability, Availability, Error Rates for all the Digital Platforms across the different technology stacks. Working the inter Infrastructure provisioning and system administration including deploying and maintaining the servers, storage, and networking resources required to host applications nal and external stakeholders driving high availability of the Digital platforms.

Work Experience:
8+ years of experience working as DevOps professional using AWS Technologies
Worked previously in Retail or QSR domain as DevOps Engineer and Subject Matter Expert focused on different components such as Apps, Web, Operator Applications, POS actively troubleshooting issues and partnering with Development teams and Vendors to drive resolution
Experience in building complex systems using IaC, using SAM, CloudFormation, CDK
Experience with content delivery networks such as Cloudflare, CloudFront
Must have a deep understanding of security protocols, including identify, network and Operating Server security
Experience in monitoring and diagnosing system failures, including but not limited to Infrastructure as Code
Experience in deploying and supporting web, containerized, and serverless infrastructures.
Proven hands-on experience in AWS: IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3, Code Artifact, App Config, Batch, Route 53, and CloudFront etc
Experience in Agile development processes & tools: Git, Jira or similar.
Experience in container cluster management: AWS EKS & Kubernetes, Docker.
Experience with internet networking and security: AWS SG & VPC, TCP/IP, SSH, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, bastions, etc.
Experience with observability tooling such as but not limited to DataDog, CloudWatch, New Relic etc.
Strong hands-on experience in AWS engineering, operationalization, automation build out, integration and CI/CD using Python, JavaScript, and AWS APIs
Experience in Continual Service Improvement - By looking at what is measurable versus what is not, and by processing and sorting of the data into quantifiable findings, the cycle starts all over again.
Experience in managing a team of internal and external support engineers.
Experience in leading AWS Well Architected Framework Review and implementation.
