Job Description
The University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL) seeks a dynamic, collaborative, inclusive and experienced Finance/HR professional to provide data and compensation analysis for the Finance & Administration Division. The Analyst will support UMSL’s objectives in the areas of data analysis, accountability, metrics, equity and inclusion. This highly-collaborative departmental specialist will balance organization, efficiency, and results with a strong focus on proactive and trusted service. Along with colleagues at UMSL and the University of Missouri System, this team member will model a positive, service-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
The Senior Finance and HR Analyst will be responsible for providing professional consultation in areas including (but not limited to):
Workforce Analysis
- Complete compensation analysis for new and existing positions
- Analyze job offers to ensure both internal and external financial equity
- Collaborate with colleagues in the UM Compensation Center of Excellence
- Provide data and analysis to support UMSL’s Affirmative Action Plan, HR metrics, etc.
- Perform complex statistical, financial and cost-accounting analyses. May prepare analyses and reports for university management and state and federal government agencies
- Create reports and provide analysis on key metrics that assist senior leadership
- Provide data and analytical support on projects and make recommendations for improvement/efficiency
- Develop processes, design reporting dashboards, and more to support leaders in accountability efforts
- Track and manage compliance reporting upon request
- Manage and support specialized projects, provide training, and perform other duties as assigned
8 am – 5 pm, Monday - Friday
Salary
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
Pay Range: $47,476 - $65,468
Grade: GGS-010

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleSoft Finance and HR, WorkDay Planning, Cognos and Tableau
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated understanding of Human Resources, Financial Accounting and Budget in Higher Education.
- Demonstrated commitment to and training in diversity, equity and inclusion
- Demonstrated experience in explaining complex information in a straightforward manner
- Keen understanding of the need for confidentiality and integrity in interactions
- Strong attention to detail
