At ACT1 Federal, our people make the difference. As a Senior Financial Analyst, supporting the Federal Protective Services, you will be the primary point of contact for financial related deliverables. Leading the junior financial analyst through completion of requested deliverables, and control daily activities by constantly measuring, evaluating, and correcting daily, routine, and emerging activities.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Preparing budget estimates and consolidating budget forecasts.
- Providing budget justifications by compiling, comparing, and correlating information about current and future programs.
- Developing and tracking reimbursable multi-year budget planning documents. Monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating spending relative to budget and planning documents.
- Developing and implementing strategic and program planning efforts.
- Performing budget formulation procedures/processes involving independent assessments and preparation of detailed analyses, budget estimates, special reports, and other documentation.
- Performing budget execution oversight involving multi-year direct and reimbursable accounts involving the administration and review of requests for allotments of budget authority for distribution to regional activities nationwide.
- Providing financial advisory services to extensive and diverse customer base.
- Providing constant status reports on all deliverables requested by the FMO Branch Chiefs, and RM Directorate Assistant Director, RM Directorate Director, and other FPS Senior leadership as needed.
- Using automated budgetary system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments.
- Ensuring all Contractor work is accurate and complete.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- At least eight (8) years of budget/financial management experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or team lead position
- A Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline is required.
- Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Extensive knowledge in Financial Management, Budget, and Revenue.
- Knowledge of the DHS Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution process and its products, terminology, and guidance documents, including DHS budget and financial management regulations, OMB circulars, and Congressional Legislation.
- Experience and expertise in analyzing and identifying improvements needed to ad hoc and standard budget and financial management processes.
- Strong knowledge of FFMS, Discoverer, Purchase Request Information System (PRISM), Concur Government Edition (CGE) or similar systems
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint, with expert knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active Public Trust clearance with the ability to obtain DHS Suitability

Pay: $98,115.60 - $121,913.04 per year
