Seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with exceptional mechanical machine design capabilities.

Expectations:

Take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion.

Generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and support the development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare design specifications, analyses, and make recommendations for presentation to and approval by management.

Responsibilities will include a mechanical design for a broad range of prototype, pre-commercial and new commercial products that are being nurtured in an advanced product development environment, with an emphasis on providing quality products to industrial manufacturing businesses.

Track record of solid technical leadership with preference given for experience designing products for manufacture.

Strong work ethic and leadership and capabilities as a team leader/participant for assigned projects from inception to completion.

Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, technically demanding, and exciting technology environment.

Essential Functions:

Exceptional mechanical/machine design capabilities, including extensive product development and design for manufacturing experience.

Capability to design and prototype pre-commercial and new and complex commercial products.

Track record of solid project management and/or project responsibility capabilities with preference given for experience designing products for manufacture.

Ability to generate project requirements, resolve product/process problems, support the development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, prepare design specifications, analyses, and make and support recommendations to management.

Develop and complete product designs and/or individually as assigned by management.

Participate in the generation of project requirements to resolve product/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare protocols that are designed to efficiently and effectively execute the proposed efforts.

Requirements

1. Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering (ABET Accredited). Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

2. 10 or more years of experience in Mechanical Machine Design.

3. Strong CAD and CAE design and analysis skills.

4. U.S. Citizen.
