Payroll Specialist, NVA

NVA is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to the team. This position is perfect for those with a payroll, accounting, or finance background who are looking for a chance to contribute to a company’s success. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for general data entry, audit, and research of HR, Payroll, and timekeeping information.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manually collect, calculate, enter, audit, and distribute various timekeeping, HR, and payroll data forms, fields, and/or amounts
- Own and manage recurring payroll processes of low to moderate complexity and/or risk
- Support the intake, assigning, research, and resolution of general payroll and timekeeping inquiries
- Assist with the processing and audit of regular on and off cycle payrolls
- Assist with specific data entry, payroll or administrative tasks as assigned
- Provide quality customer service report
- Contribute positively to building and fostering an enjoyable, professional team environment
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in US payroll for large sized companies
- Leadership skills or background
- CPP – Preferred (not required depending on experience)
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in related fields (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.)
- Physically able to work at a desk in a typical office environment (Role will start with working at home)
- Proficient with Windows PC and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Able to accept coaching and direction from management
- Exercise discretion with confidential and/or sensitive information
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge and experience with ADP WorkforceNow and ADP Vantage is strongly preferred
