IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior System Safety Analyst in Huntsville, AL
Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a System Safety Expert for the Utility Helicopter Project Office (UHPO) with primary responsibilities to support system safety assessments on all assigned projects within UHPO.
• Serve as a resource for other UHPO system safety personnel to include informal mentoring and formal training sessions
• Utilize both civil and military system safety assessment processes, as described in SAE ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E, such as System Safety Program Plans (SSPP), Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), System Safety Assessments (PSSA/SSA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR)
• Assist in the integration of civil hardware and software design assurance processes, as described in SAE ARP 4754A and DO-187C, into system safety assessment processes
• Assess reliability assessments, such as Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analyses, and the tailoring of those assessments to meet system safety program objectives
• Participate in Statement of Work (SOW) and Airworthiness Qualification Specification (AQS) development efforts to provide input into requirements to contractors/vendors that ensure safety assessment efforts meet project milestone requirements and deadlines
• Support the TMD Field Support Branch Safety team and provide recommendations for process improvements and continuity
• Provide input into development and documentation of technical and contract requirements
• Work with UHPO programs to assess program/project technical risks related to system safety deliverables and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Develop and present system safety findings to a diverse audience of management and peers

Education and General experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of system safety engineering experience is required.
• Experience as an FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) or as a unit member of an Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) is strongly preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills to be able to manage system safety analyses and track requirements across multiple projects
• Ability to work with all stakeholders to identify and integrate system safety requirements
• Knowledge of USG regulations, policies, processes, and guidance
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with Windchill, TopVue, and DOORS is a plus, but not required
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• DoD Staff Experience
• Ability to travel (5 to 10%)
• Experience with IT/OT in an operational environment

Clearance Requirements: Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
